Dollar Tree 4 Life!

I bought some packs from Dollar Tree recently.  Let's look at them today.  Sorry for no intro, I'm running behind on doing this and have a couple things I need to finish.

A couple Once A Royal cards in Johnny Cuerto and Jose Lind.  He may have underperformed in KC, but I like Cuerto.  Also got another Pirate in John Wehner.  This was a good pack with a nice Scott Kazmir, Dave Parker and an actual Royal in Kit Pellow. Throw in a minor league card and I'm happy with this buck.

Also got these in the pack too.  A nice Dontrelle Willis, a minor league Cardinal of Steve Dixon, Jason Varitek, Gary Carter, and a couple of Rockies.  I think I screwed up, this was a different pack, I didn't get two Royals in one pack.  So this was another great pack, that had a Royal, former Royal in Kurt Stillwell, and probably the oldest Roberto Clemente card I have now, though I'd like to get the real 72 of him.

Here was another pack I bought, just because I liked the Ramirez card on top.  Usually all my scans will show the top card first, so that's how I judge the packs.  I think I was a good judge on this pack too.  Izzy, Big Mac, Juan Gone, Devo, and Moises as a Met are all solid cards.  Throw in Once a Royal Pat Sheridan, and an actual Royal in Ape, and this was worth it.  I think I have the Appier already, but who doesn't love the powder blue?

Top card was Grud as a Royal, so it was a no brainer.  Royals and Cardinals Leaders cards, an early Larry Walker, and another minor league card, and again a good pack.  Also have Mookie Wilson and I can just hear Vin Scully saying his name right now.  I bought four packs, and none were duds this time.  I can't complain one bit.

Here are the rest of the cards that came in the packs, I'm confused which pack they came in though.

Old timers!  Kirk, Morris, and Fielder all go in my collection without hesitation, Mike Macfarlane too if its not a double.  Moises Alou (this wasn't in the same pack as the earlier card I remember that much), wouldn't normally go in my collection, but being a Bazooka card, changed my mind.  The Cudyyer won't go into my collection, but I wanted to show a newer card, he also had a good game I think the day I scanned this.

Look at all this junk wax (and some pre and post junk wax) era goodness!  Love Cliff in front of the ivy, and the throwback Astros uniform on Burke.  Once A Royal (that's a pain to type out each time!) of Jay Bell and Gary Gaetti as well as current Royals announcer Rex Hudler (who talked about the Expos the other day during the game, which he had time, Royals lost 13-2).  My favorite though is the Alan Trammell.  It is my first Drake's card, and even if it wasn't, I collect Alan, so it would have gone into my collection no matter what card it was.  It's funny how many Tigers guys I collect though in reality I can't stand the team.  I guess the same is true about the Cardinals.

A bunch more old and new cards. I liked the Fleer Tradition cards.  I didn't like the 1990 Topps.  Look at that another Royal!  Angel Berroa and I don't think I have it.  I also don't think I had the Rated Rookie of Ryan Klesko.  I really liked these packs.  I was shocked to see a 2015 card end up in a repack so quick though.  That was pretty cool.

Finally here are the rest.  Nice Tony Pena and Sean Tracey cards.  I always liked Pacific so the Spiers card is nice too.  The John McGraw is my favorite though. I pulled another like it recently, and forgot it came in one of these repacks.  Sometimes I like to read about the players before my time, I should look up McGraw one day.  I think I did a while back but can't remember a lot.

Well, I'm running behind so I better go, thanks for reading, and have a great night.

    1. I'm really lucky my local one carries most sports (I don't see hockey or soccer, which I'm not complaining really). When they first opened, they only had one or two choices, but now it has really expanded to include football and basketball as well as the Star Wars and other stuff. I don't think I've seen WWE stuff yet, but I bet they will have it soon enough.

  2. Yeah, if the Canadian dollar can get a bit higher we plan a family trip to the US and there are a number of card related items I'd like to pick up while there, and on the cheaper end would be some of these packs since we just don't have them here...

    1. I hope when you do that you find some great cards. One day I'd like to take a trip to Canada, but I haven't ventured anywhere close yet. Most of my travels have been to the south and southeast. The northern most I've gone is Iowa just because its not too far away.
