World Series Game One Notes

I just heard who is singing the National Anthem tonight:

Yep, taken moments ago talking to Ned Yost, its TRISHA YEARWOOD!  OK, nobody is THAT excited about it except maybe Garth Brooks.

Here are the starting lineups for tonight:

Finally the rosters were announced for the World Series.  No surprise on these first two not being included.

Yep Aaron Crow and Raul Ibanez aren't on the roster.  Not a shock since they haven't been all postseason.  What surprises me is that Aaron Crow has been on the roster almost all year, but Tim Collins has been in the minors most of the year but has been on the postseason roster.  I doubt either would pitch anyways.

The surprise, however is Jayson Nix is on the roster leaving this man to sit with Raul and Aaron.

Yep, Christian Colon isn't on the roster.  Well it could be worse.

As I said all along, to me this is just icing on the cake, but this icing is so good, I want to make some more cake, lol.  Maybe Bob Barker said it best in Happy Gilmore, "I don't want a piece, I want the WHOLE THING!"

Thanks for reading and have a great night.

  1. I can't believe they rostered Nix. He has been terrible all year. I guess they need middle infield depth.

    1. The speculation is that Christian Colon isn't fully healed from his injuries he had toward the end of the season. I think they wanted another veteran bat, I just don't get it.

I have a feeling Yost will be out coached in this series, but I still hold out hope that the Royals take it in 6.
